Editorial policy

• Opening hours, prices, timetables and event dates are only published when confirmed against a current primary source.
• Where a detail is uncertain, it is marked on the page as needing confirmation rather than guessed at.
• Guides carry a visible last-updated date, and seasonal pages are reviewed before the season they describe.
• Sources are listed at the foot of guides where a specific claim depends on one.

Recommendations describe what suits which kind of visit — a first-time day trip, a car-free stay, a December visit — rather than ranking businesses. No business pays for inclusion, placement or wording, and nothing on this site is written in exchange for a free meal, room or tasting.

We do not publish invented reviews, ratings, testimonials or personal anecdotes. If a claim is not something the guide can stand behind, it is not made.

The site currently carries no advertising, affiliate links, sponsored content or paid listings. If any of these are introduced later, they will be labelled where they appear, explained here, and kept separate from editorial judgement — paying will never change what a guide says.

Corrections are made as soon as they are confirmed, and the page's updated date changes with them. To report an error, use the contact page and include the page and what is wrong.

Drafting tools may be used in producing pages, but every factual claim is the publisher's responsibility and is checked against a source before publication. Nothing is published unreviewed.
